Best Poster Award at ME Annual Research Symposium (MARS) 2026

I am delighted to share that my poster Hetero-EUCLID: Interpretable model discovery for heterogeneous hyperelastic materials using stress-unsupervised learning won the Best Poster Award at the ME Annual Research Symposium (MARS) 2026, held on 30–31 October 2026 at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru.

The poster presented the Hetero-EUCLID framework, which segments a heterogeneous specimen and discovers an interpretable hyperelastic material model for each constituent from full-field displacement and boundary force data, without requiring stress data. It combines residual force-based segmentation with the Bayesian-EUCLID approach for sparse, region-wise model discovery, and remains robust to displacement noise, non-native meshes, and complex heterogeneities.

I am grateful to my research advisor Prof. Akshay Joshi for his guidance, and to the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) for their support.
